The Wilson Harrison Foundation was founded in 2011 by Richard and Stacey Wilson.  They also are the founders of Benjamin Banneker Preparatory Charter School in Willingboro, NJ.  Richard serves as the Principal and CEO of the school and Stacey is the Executive Director of the foundation  The foundation was named in honor of Richard and Stacey's parents.

The foundation is a large supporter of Benjamin Banneker Preparatory Charter School, in Willingboro, NJ.  BBPREP initially began servicing grades 6th, 7th and 8th grade scholars but has since expanded to include Kindergarten through 5th grade.  The school opened it's doors in September, 2012.  The school's mission is to prepare middle school students to succeed in high school and college by promoting high academic achievement while addressing social and emotional issues that develop character, build effective social relationships and respect for self and others. 

 

The foundation supports BBPREP's academic programs, extra-curricular programs and promotes positive character development among youth in Burlington County.  Outside of supporting BBPREP, the foundation has also implemented programming for high school students.  The Talented Tenth program was established for high school males and F.E.E. (Females Empowered to Excel) for high school females are programs that are held annually to promote positive character development. 

 

Fundraiser are held to raise funds for the foundation.  The Evening Under the Stars is the foundation's annual fundraiser dinner.  During the dinner, educators throughout Burlington County are recognized for their untiringly work with youth.  In addition, during the event, the foundation gives an annual book award to a deserving college student as well.
